Benjamin Clements

It is not known with certainty if the Benjamin that arrived in Jackson County Georgia is the Benjamin that was the brother of Charles, Culliver, James and Reuben but if this is not the same man then he is likely a son of Charles, Culliver, James or Reuben.  There is very little known about him or his descendants.  Some researchers indicate that the father of Charles, Culliver, James and Reuben was also named Benjamin so this Benjamin could be named after his grandfather.  There are only census records for Benjamin in Pendleton, SC.  See census records here.

I found two Jackson County Georgia Tax Digest entries for Benjamin (1803 and 1809) but I did not perform an exhaustive search given the difficulty in searching these volumes.

There is also an 1829 record in the Francis C. Andoe [1] store ledgers for a Benjamin Clements but it is not known if this is the same man.
