The noted Methodist Episcopal Preacher and
Bishop spent the night of November 18, 1801 at the home of Prosser Horton in
Jackson County, Georgia. [1]
Apparently, the house had an upper floor or loft because the Bishop noted that
he fell down the stairs and hurt his back.
He noted Jackson County was a "proper frontier county".
