      2. Private (Living)
      3. Private (Living)
  2. Vessie Jackson (Oct. 23, 1894 - Nov. 17, 1923, buried Ocoee Cemetery, Ocoee, FL), married Joseph Edward Whitaker and they moved to Orange County, Florida.

On the 1950 census his occupation is shown to be a farmer.  Dave was probably a World War I veteran but the author could not find any documents proving this.  Dave may have had a son from a previous marriage.

According to a church history, Exer's Waldrop family were involved with Ebenezer Methodist Church since the 1830s when he donated the land that the cemetery and present church occupy.

  6. William B. Jackson, Jr. (1899 - 1963, buried Rest Haven Cemetery, Monroe, GA), he was married more than once.  His last wife was Lizzie B. Lee and they lived in the Social Circle/Monroe area.  According to a descendant, he had a son from an earlier marriage that flew for the British during World War II. [1]

From the two photos below, i
t is very apparent to the author that William B. Jackson, Jr. and the author's uncle (Zeb Hollis - see above) share a strong facial resemblence.

    1. Lee Colley Jackson (Nov. 3, 1937- August 7, 2016), married (Private).  Colley was a noted gunsmith in Georgia.
    2. (Private - Still living)
    3. Emily Jackson (1947-2021), married a Dally.

The following photo is of William's 1st child (William Barnett Jackson III?) by his 1st or 2nd wife (not Lizzie Lee):

Which one is William Barnett Jackson III?

Was William Barnett Jackson, III an RAF Officer in WWII or was he a US Marine?  The man on the right is wearing an RAF officer's uniform; The man on the left is wearing a US Marine uniform.  The author found a listing for a William B. Jackson, Jr. from Georgia on Fold3 born July 10, 1935 enlisted 1939. Among his assignments was Johnston and Palmyra Atoll and Pearl Harbor in 1942.  The author cannot confirm this is the man in the photo.  Note that the aircraft resembles a Hawker Typhoon but the dorsal does not quite match. Note that the engine cowling has been removed so likely it was undergoing maintenance when the photo was taken.

  7. Sarah Elizabeth Jackson (1903 - Nov. 5, 1981, buried Ebenezer Methodist Church cemetery, Conyers, GA), married Percy L. Williams.  She may have remarried (a Garner?) after Percy's death in 1961.  Sarah and Percy had one known child.  Sarah lived in Atlanta near Grant Park.

  8. Roddy Jackson (February 22, 1904 - March 12, 1952, buried Ebenezer Methodist Church cemetery, Conyers, GA), married Bonnie (Bamie?) Laster and they remained in Conyers where he was a policeman for the city of Conyers. He may have lived on the farm that his father had previously owned.

The author did not find any references to a Green Valley Farm in Conyers but there was one so named near Covington that is only recently closed.  Green Valley is a common name for a farm so likely they are not the same.

    1. Bettie Jackson (1928-1969), married William Ozer Hammonds.  (Note: Not sure if she is Roddy's daughter - Bonnie was married previous to marrying Roddy)
    2. Florine Jackson (1937 - ?)
  9. Colley Jackson died at age 6 from an accident.  The 1900 census shows 5 living children of the 7 total children born to Fannie so he likely died before the 1900 census was taken.  Given the birthdates of the children, he was probably born after Zettie and before Vessie & Esther.  Unknown burial location, possibly Ebenezer Methodist Church, Conyers.

--------------------------
[1] Presumably, the son would likely have been born after 1930 since William and his brother Roddy were both living together in Conyers when the 1930 census was taken.
