The old farm of Edward Colley and Mary Strong is located near Chase City, Virginia (GPS 36.816320, -78.292980). The author visited the farm in 2016 and took the following pictures. The remains of the old log cabin are still standing and the old family graveyard where Edward and Mary Strong are buried is located adjacent to the home. As of 2017, a Colley family descendant still occupied the land and he was very helpful in providing background. The old cabin is in very bad shape and not worthy of salvage so these might be some of the last pictures that we will see of this historic home.
