Harrison Land Grants/Plats

The following land plats show the area where the Harrison family lived in Pendleton District of South Carolina.  The general area is along the Tugaloo River near the tributaries of Cain Creek, Choesta Creek and Beaverdam Creek.  I have indicated this area on the old map below.

Harrison land location, Pendleton District, SC

At the time of his death in 1841, Thomas Harrison Jr. (father of Catherine Harrison Blair) owned 900 acres of land in South Carolina and an unknown quantity of land in Georgia.

1782, 373 acres on the Middle Fork of Beaverdam Creek
Thomas Harrison plat bounded on one side by Benjamin Harrison

Given the 1782 date of this document, this Thomas Harrison is likely Thomas Harrison Sr., father of Thomas Harrison Jr. and others.  I also found where a Thomas Harrison Sr. sold 575 acres of land on Beaverdam Creek of Tugaloo to William Cleveland in 1801.  I am not sure if these are the same tracts or two separate tracts: The plat above appears to show 373 acres, not 575.
