The names Zimmerman, Erlbeck, Bauer (Bower), Zang, Fritz, Keiss and Zwilling are all German Palatine families that came over on the DRAGON and UNION ships with the Mercks. There are Revolutionary War records for many of these families (as Patriots and Loyalists).
