Zachariah was the son of Philip Combs, Jr. (Philip, Sr. ->Philip, Jr.->Zach)
Zach died about 1821. Some records from his estate file can be found at the Georgia Archives. Some of the interesting names found in that file are Thomas Eidson, Henry Rose (the administrator), Catherine Rose, James Burdett(e), Philip Combs, John Combs, and John Sherman. Rose was likely the maiden name of Zach's widow.
Note that the descendants of the Wilkes County Burdetts (Burdette) still own the historic John Williston Talbot residence and land near the Smyrna Church, just east of the town of Washington. The Talbot family and the historic John W. Talbot home are discussed HERE.
